Painting something like a landscape can build tools into your painting toolkit that you can apply to other subjects later on. Learning how to loosely depict a field of Lavender may help you later paint the background in a Still Life painting!
Students will learn to paint a landscape from a reference photo. We will learn to add color into landscapes, take the sometimes boring grey sky, and make it look blue! Krista will teach students to make a quick thumbnail sketch from their photos to simplify. Students will enjoy painting landscapes in a more impressionistic way! Playing with brushstrokes and color!
After you register, head to the page ONLINE CLASSES and there you'll find a link to Jerry's Online Shopping carts one for oil and one for acrylic. Only purchase what you need if you already have the color in a different brand for example then you'll be fine. Its a visual suggestion and it make it easy if you are starting out. For the thumbnail sketch, a piece of paper and pencil will do, or you can use your sketchbook if you have one.
